Great inspiration

saw this just now on my dear Korean friend, Bon, his hi5 profile.

If you are quick to take offence, then you'll be under the control of those who you find offensive.
If you are easily angered, then your actions will be dictated by those who anger you.
If you are obsessed by what other people think, then you will be imprisoned by their thoughts.
If you yearn for easy answers and quick solutions, you'll fall prey to people who offer you nothing but promises.
If you find the truth too difficult to bear, you'll be enslaved to those who tell you what you want to hear.
When you have the courage to think for yourself, the strength to accept what is, the commitment and discipline to make a difference, then you are free. You are truly free to live with purpose, joy and fulfillment. Let your life be defined, not by reactions to what others do, say, or think but rather your own unique vision.
Raise your eyes above the pettiness and follow the path of the greatness that is within you.

Monkey Business

Quoted from a book about the lives of junior I-Bankers <Monkey Business>:

1. It took our mothers six months to realize that we weren't stockbrokers, working the phones to sell crappy public offerings to unsuspecting investors. It took us another six months to realize that we were, in fact, selling crappy public offerings to investors.

2. The one immutable truism that exists for bankers is that any problem can be solved by throwing enough money and time at it.
The implication? The banker's greatest enenmies are those people whose souls are not for sale, and those who realize that time is
a nonrenewable commodity.

Two great pieces of words.

Deloitte Shenzhen

I was going to intern in Deloitte Shanghai. Due to accommodation prob, I chose to be working in Deloitte Shenzhen instead.
People here were very nice to me. Work load was ok at the beginning. I hope I can get more work in the following days.
There are five interns here with me. I felt so relaxed working with them. One of the interns, Lin feng, is a good friend of Pencil.
The world is so small, full of coincidences.. The rest are Trista, Pin, Stephen. I will try to take some pics of them then upload them up here.
P.S. I am enjoying myself in Deloitte. yeah.....

Who am I ??

Yesterday, my brain suddenly came up with a strange question as it always does.
But this time, the question did really bother me for some time.
The question may sound extremely stupid to some people.
It is "Who am I?"

I started to think when it becomes so hard for one to identify him/herself.
I guessed it was when this kind of questions stroke his/her brain.
More confusing questions rushed into my thoughts....like "why did I do that?"  "what characteristics of mine were reflected to other people around me when I did that?" "Does what I did determine who I am??" "If I explain why I did that, will people change their perceptions?"

I still can't find answers to those questions.

By pure chance, I read the quote below.
It somehow gave me some clues about " who I am not" or generally " who people are not"

You are not your job, , you are not the contents of your wallet, you are not a beautiful and unique snowflake, the things you own end up owning you. Only after you've lost everything are you truly free to do anything.

Mo's Birthday

No one had seen Mo's drunk face before 7th June 2006.
We all saw it on the date and luckily enough, it was his birthday.
Happy Birthday,Mo.

Trip to Brighton, Wye and Canterbury

放假以后过得最开心的几天。。。。
谢谢在Brighton的The Regency Restaurant被我吃掉的Scallops in garlic sauce...yummy,yummy...
还有Canterbury的Ploughman's Platter...mouth-watering prawns and salmon...
